Thanks for sharing this thought @KlamnJam. I bet it takes a little practice for students to move into learning for their own sake, but I bet that move is motivating. #aboerjcRosemarri Klamn, MAPC, CPHR she/her/hers @KlamnJam

Q5: How do you see open resources shaping the pedagogical approach of teaching and learning in your context? #aboerjc

Dr. Verena Roberts @verenanzNov 3Replying to @KlamnJam

Totally agree -learning about UDL and integrating the principles into my course learning design – definitely has supported my #oep #edci339 #edtechethics #aboerjc

This reminds me of @KlamnJam ‘s comment about the importance of CoP in communicating the value of OER #aboerjc

Q6: How have you experienced students responding to Open Education in your context? #aboerjc

Dr. Verena Roberts @verenanzNov 3Replying to @S_Hammershaimb

When it works … the open co-design process feels like what is often referred to as facilitation, but really means being an advocate or wing person – and the development of a PLN leads to indefinite support … #aboerjc

A5: I have started to focus on open learning design which balances process (#oep) and products (#oer) #aboerjc

Rosemarri Klamn, MAPC, CPHR she/her/hers @KlamnJamNov 3

A4: My #OE story began with having access to open technological tools to add UDL elements to courses (engagement, representation, and action/expression). #aboerjc An affordable means to expand my practice.Sarah Hammershaimb @S_Hammershaimb

Q4: The research participants were asked to share their catalyst for engagement with OEP in the article. Do any of their answers resonate with you? What is your open education story? #aboerjc

Dr. Verena Roberts @verenanzNov 3Replying to @S_Hammershaimb

A5: I had to figure out how to contextualize OEP. I spent hours on my open learning design for my course, which uses OEP, BUT I decided the activity learning space also has to be open (open pressbook, or blog, or other open constructivist learning activity. #aboerjc

#aboerjc HE can learn from K-12 open practitioners that have incorporated these practices into their pedagogy. @DocBlomDr. Verena Roberts @verenanzReplying to @DocBlom @S_Hammershaimb

I hear students asking where they can openly access their readings & resources … how they can avoid paywalls & ( like mentioned in the article) I hear Students shift from “what do you expect Prof from me as individual ? TO how do I share my knowledge with others ? #aboerjc

A3: I thought the article did a good job of describing OpenEdPedagogy Process rather than how OER always ends up being open pedagogy. They distinguish process focused pedagogy ( #OEP) from product focused pedagogy (#OER) #aboerjc
